I would guess a little burning news paper in the stove or fire place they would vacate rapidly.

If one didn't want to burn anything a bit of pepper spray woud help the make up their mine to leave.

But the I am a country boy and could care less would happen to the coons.

I am also a country boy and I do this for a living. The problems with burning them out is #1 it's cruel and violates anti cruelty laws.

#2 This mother has young which can't climb out themselves so they will die and stink. Good luck getting a bunch of maggot infested coons out of the chimney.

Wouldn't have a bit of trouble getting dead ones out of any of the four chimneys I own.

Thats what they make clean outs for.

Unless there is some obstruction that shouldn't be there they should just fall to the bottom or into the fire place.

Of couse then one couldn't make a living if the home ower knew how to do it them selfs.

City people it nice when you can make a living off of them

The young are almost always resting on top of the smoke shelf above the fire box. If your arm bends in 3 places you can grab them. Otherwise I get them with a long pole from the top.
