Very interesting though not too many are actually LOG cabins. I don't know If I'd want to live in those that require guy wires to prevent the cabin freom blowing away even with the scenery ! The log cabin on the first page has a door exactly like my home has.That X on the door is not just decoration -it's a Maltese cross that is there to keep out evil spirits .Few people understand these things !!

This is a US Forest Service boathouse/log cabin on a border lake that we came across on my last trip to the BWCA. I figure it's a photo worth sharing here.

Dammit men [an lovely ladies of the hunt] I love it....you cannot see this old cabin well, but it holds 16 men and has cooking facilities to boot. I was a cook and guide here from 2002-2008. On top of my real job as a biologist for the landowner.





I just had to post all of it since it is of fond memories to be hand no more in that location! Long story and the loss of a good friend. RIP Rich!

This one is 100 years old, but remodeled!

Not a cabin, but an amazing barn with few nails! I loved hunting here too.
