Both me and the dog wish bird season would get here. Dove opens in 2 months, grouse in 2.5 months.

I hear you BigB on wishing bird season would get here. In this part of the world, we have gone from birds everywhere(meaning wild pheasants)to nearly a complete loss of birds, due to the excessive brutal winter we experienced this past. Me and the dogs will be out looking for them, but it is sad to see such a thriving population so brutally wiped out in such a short period of time. Best of luck to you this season.

Guys are you not allowed to release pheasants in your hunting territories just to keeped the local population topped up or is that illegal
i know the way we hunt in the UK is different but we rear and release birds mainly for that reason
