Earlier this year, my wife picked up a pair of dog training collars from a company named dogwidgets.com for our two young dogs. I like the general layout with settings for vibrate, mild shock and profound shock. The vibrate mode seems to work quite well at getting the dog's attention, but the actual collars have proven to be less than reliable. Plus my Norwegian Elkhound is in full winter ruff and shall we say well insulated so the prods are too short.

Any suggestions for a more robust collar with replaceable prods that still retains the vibrate mode?

Anything made by tritronics...... go on the website and look at the diferent models. Absolutely top notch.

be damn careful about shock collars - they can cause seizures
