Just before rifle deer season here is a time to keep the dogs in the house because of all the crazy hunters around so we took a last walk in the woods on a great Sunday afternoon just over a month ago.

Was a great day and the boys did well. Moved many birds and posed a few with the boys to show the dogs off a bit.

My boys and their trifecta of birds on nice Sunday afternoon. Got a nice pheasant, ruffed grouse and woodcock all within about 1 1/2 hours and all in the wild.

Jag (3 year old) Pepper (11 years old - Jag's grandpa and Blitz's father) and Blitz (8 years old and Jag's uncle)


Then the old man Pepper alone with the birds.


Looks like a proud pappa and grandfather. He's still the best hunter within the limitations of his age related ailments.
