Have two female dogs, Yorkie and weiner dog. Both have had problems with the anal gland. Take them to the vet and he "pinches" their anus. The Yorkie seems to have outgrown this problem but not the other. Just how, or where, do you "pinch" this gland? 12 o'clock, 3,6 or 9? My vet up and quit practice without notifying anyone.

Try 4:30 and 7:30. Push inward and slightly upward as you squeeze.
