My German wirehair has a problem with the E collar rubbing her neck raw. I have it the same degree of snug as I have used on several other dogs with no problem till her. Any suggestions ???

Innotek & the short probes. My concern is she is a "Rescue" & has a couple of medical problems including an immune system deficiency so I need to do what I can to prevent her from infections if possible.

Is it the collar or the points that are rubbing her? How long is it on her during a day?

Its the contacts & we are trying to keep her in it 6-8 hours at a time.
I spoke with the manufacturer & they suggested replacing the pointed contacts with acorn nuts to broaden the contact area.

I don't know why you're keeping it on her for so long but if she is laying on it or rubbing it might be aggravating the situation.

It makes me wonder if it's something in the metal points that are not agreeing with her skin.

Good luck. It can't feel good to her.
