A Boxer Lab mix. Anybody ever own one? What are they like? Smart? Any info would help. My wife got me a puppy 2 weeks before I deployed. Now she says the little girl is driving her nuts! I can't wait to get back home and find out how she acts. I just want a good dog that'll follow me in the hills, listen to me, maybe do some hunting and fetch a ball once in a while Smiler

That all black boxador is a cool looking dog!

What kind of temprament and hunting strengths did it have?

Cheers

My Daisy is all black also. I can't wait to get back and see how she's grown. She was a month old when I got her.

Congratulations Ammohouse!

IMHO, an all black boxador looks even better than a rottweiler.

Please let us know if Daisy's temperament is like a boxer's or a lab's, and if she quarters naturally, has a good nose, and takes well to water.

Meanwhile, stay safe and God bless.

Cheers

Another question...should I nub her tail?
How old is too old to get a dogs tail chopped??

Ammohouse,

First: Thank you for your service!!

Second: The tails ideally should be chopped is 4-6 weeks. OK later but more pain and blood.

Third: Other than an even shorter coat, what is the advantage of this cross breeding?

First: No, thank you. To all the folks that support us...what you do is a helluva lot harder than what I do!!!!!

Second: I really wanted her tail cut. Will she HATE me if I get it done when she's older?

Third: I don't know the advantage. My wife just got her for me for my B-day.

Thanks for all the info.

Just curious, is the bitch a lab and the male a boxer or vice versa ?

I'm not sure what her parents were.
What would the advantage be?

Do you remember being circumcised?

Of course she'll HATE you.... or maybe your wife if she is the one to take her to the vet.
