New years never was aweful lost my Solide White english Setter Buckshot. HE WAS 12.5 BORN DAY AFTER 911.He battled grizzlizs in Alaska Black bears rattlz snakes copperheads and. Here He saved my life in a fire in nevada and from robbers.He went to Alaska with me none years loved to grouse hunt. HE LOVED AND PROCTED ME AND WAS FEARLESS. i will miss him forever.I put white quarts on his grave!

lost my english setter, amos a bit over a year ago only 8 years old the cancer got him. only solution is to go get another. Fisher, he's 16 months now and doing great. will never forget amos - don't want to

I agree with butchloc, the best way to ease the pain is to get another. That's what I did when I lost my last dog. I've got a set of Wachtelhunds that will be ready for new homes in a few weeks.

My sympathy to you. I've lost 3 and I always say I won't become attached as I always get to them. Losing them is never easy. You had a great dog and many good years. Cherish the good memories.

Sorry to hear about the lost of your trusted companion. I can't remember exactly how the quote went but, it was something along the lines of "a dog is the only animal that loves you more than it loves itself."

So sorry to hear this i lost several dog friends trough my life and i always remeber them ,perhaps we will see them again in the valhalla .
