My 12 year old golden needed a friend.

That picture absolutely melts my heart.

We are about to get a companion for our 11 month old GWP and are really looking forward to the new arrival.

Don't you just love the old dogs? And the well-tempered ones that are good with puppies? What a great canine household!

I lost my oldest "Pete the wonder Dog" about
Three months ago.
He sired a litter that hit the ground the week
he died.
Took the pick of the litter. A yellow this time.
Sure is a handful, but sure put a spring in my step.
He has some permanent scars from the first couple of weeks
with the big dogs but now is their best friend.
Fun times ahead.

As a dog lover, I can tell you are a lucky man!

My friend Grady had the same look on his face as your old dog when they brought in a new kid for him to train after 45 years on the job.

Best thing in the world you can do is bring home a pup so your senior dog can pass on all his secrets.

AND so you do not end up w/ an empty house------for any length of time.

My favorite friend and hunting companion passed away last night in his sleep at 11 1/2 years of age. That picture sure awakened my memory banks. Thanks! for posting it.
