Here are a couple photos of my new puppy. She is a pointing lab out of Tiger Mountain Pointing Lab breeding. She is 8 weeks old and the photos were taken yesterday.

Rob the white stuff in the background on the mountains is snow, it's basically frozen water!

We had some Aussie girls at the house a few years ago in June and they had never seen snow before it was a hoot.

Beautiful pup! Anxious to hear how she works for you down the road, as my husband and I have considered getting a pointing lab.

SBT,

Beautiful girl.... Tiger Mt. turns out great pointing labs.

Mary,

I have 2 pointing labs (both females) out of Snake River Pointing Labs...they are both spoiled rotten and superb hunting dogs (Az quail to ND pheasant). You can't go wrong with a good pointing lab.

Please forgive my lack of knowledge here
but what do you mean by pointing labs???
Just i use a lab for deer stalking in the UK and been looking into stud lines with which to breed her to to create a more specific breeding just for stalking, as some of our lines over here seem a little soft and don't hav that drive and determination to track with the ethusiasm i hav seen in other breeds
and that does look like a nice looking pup
cheers

Richard - Pointing labs are like regular labs, but they have been breed to bring out a pointing instinct just like a German Shorthair Pointer, an English Pointer, etc. They won't run as big as the regular pointers, but work more close in. They have a very staunch point. Plus you have the advantage of the lab's retriever abilites for waterfowl work and a lab's personality and loyalty.

I have one other female from a David Mork breeding and she is great. She has pointed wild pheasants, huns, chuckar, grouse and three species of quail. This Tiger Mountain dog looks like she may have a better nose though.

You can learn more just by searching the internet under pointing labs.

SBT,

Did you have to teach your lab to point?
