I've had a pup go through the sickness but I took him to the vet office right off. They kept him hydrated with saline...like a needle with a drip line for several days and of course he was kept from moving.

The constant loss of water from pooping along with a high tempurature is what usually kills the dog.

If you can get him to a vet quickly and be prepared to open your wallet. Sorry to hear of your bad luck.

Hi

Parvo is terrible, and I wish you all the best with treathing it.

Seem like you are on the right track with carring for your pup. Just keep it up!

I had some friends that had a whole litter of alaskan huskys that got parvo, thankfully they managed to save the hole litter of 8 pups, but it took weeks of hard work and constant hydrating.

And to everyone with pups or plans to get one, remember to get the vaccine!!!

And again good luck Juan.

Johan

Have to say, "For a pup that size to take on a bird that's the same size as she (he) is, is fantastic".

Have a French Brit that did that exact same thing with a pheseant and he has turned out to be one great dog.
