I have a heeler pup that is about 16 weeks old. This dog eats more food than my kids. She has now gotten into the habit of eating her turds even if there is food still left in the dish. I have heard that cayenne pepper on the poop works but I dont feel like seasoning a turd every 2 hours. I need some help. Besides being absolutely disgusting, I am concerned that it will affect her health

It seems like Foster and Smith had something that you could put in their food to make the feces taste bad. Do a search for Dr.s Foster and Smith pet supplies and you will find them, they are ( were anyway )great people to deal with.

Give her Listerene to help her breath until you find a cure! ( just kidding of course )

Good luck

Thanks for the suggestion JTEX. I'll give them a try but the question remanis, "How do they know that it makes the feces taste bad?" bewildered Do they personally do a before and after taste test? Kind of makes you wonder. Whatever the case, I hope this stuff works.

Never asked that question ( maybe I just didn't want to know ) Eeker

I hope it works for you too, my old Labs breath is so bad now that if she added poop scarfin' to her many other disgusting habits I couldn't stand it!

This fix requires patience but a shock collar can cure this but you have to bump her at the right moment & everytime she looks at a stool & soon she'll have nothing to do with it.

This sounds strange I know but feed her pineapple chunks, not a lot just two or three every feeding.

(When I was a kid my father used to tell me that God hated a coward, I finally realized he has even less use for a fool.)

Try some pinapple juice on her food. The porblem with chunks is she may not eat them. Failing that, try a shock collor.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

YEP JTX is correct the product is "DISTASTE" it is offered by foster and smith and is alfalfa based. I've used it on two dogs with superb results.
