Last weekend I was woodcock & grouse hunting on my friends farm in N. Wisconsin. He has an alder thicket close to the driveway and I sent my brittany in to look for birds. A few minutes later I could not hear her bell. My buddy goes in to look for the dog and finds her on point. I do not walk so well and did not want to go into the alders so I told him to shoot it. So he flushes the bird, shoots twice and misses. My dog chase the bird out of the alders and staright into a picture window on his cabin. Bird breaks its neck and we have a woodcock for the pot. I told him it was my dogs way of saying if you guys can't hit them I will have to do it all myself. We all had a good laugh. BigB | ||
