Interesting thing about man and dog. Each can do fine on their own, but they both do much better with each other

Yes, up to a point. Actually domestic dogs don't survive well on their own and tend to become "pests" if abandoned. This is largely why they're licensed. Cats, on the other hand, do just fine on their own. We have lots of "barn cats" locally -- strays which end up being "relocated" out here by a neighbor. They hunt during the day, sleep in the many barns in the area. They're not "feral" -- in the "mean" sense. But they're not "domestic" either. They don't come around people.

Had God designed women with webbed hands and an instinctive desire to swim at least 50 yards in very cold water with a duck in her mouth, then the value of a dog would have been severely diminished. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." My dog Ginger took up a chair in the flooring section of the local home center . . . One of the staff walks by, takes a look, asks, "Who's the new bitch working in carpet?"
