Hi guys,

I made a post here about 3 weeks ago about having my dog put down. It is called Bobbies Life. Well, Momma taking the loss pretty hard and wants a new puppy or 2. We are looking for a golden retriever or a yellow or black lab or a mix of the 2. We only have about 200$ to spend and don't need a pedigree. We live in the Reno/Sparks area. Would like you know the dog would be spoiled rotten. Any help would be greatly appreciated on locating a couple of pups.

You could look for a dog that really needs a home on Petfinder. Lots of dogs from shleters and rescue groups.

Labs are great. We have had several, no regrets. My wife likes the one we have now.

Hi Guys,
Well Momma got her new puppy. We found him at the Douglas animal welfare group. DAWG. He looks like he is black lab. Solid black, even the roof of his mouth. Hasn't a mean bone in his body. About a year old so is still in the
puppy stage. Seems to be very smart but still does the puppy things. He's about 60 pounds and as lovable as they come. I've been working with him on his behavior. Mind you, he came from a shelter so it will take some time. We've had him less than 2 weeks. His name is ZERO. He looks like a gangly teenager right now but will come around. A big LOP.

Try a rescue shelter. There are many nationwide breed specific rescue orgs. You pay a small adoption fee and reimburse them for their costs of rescueing that dog.
