So last year the handset for my Dogtra collar system ripped off the lanyard and was lost. I contacted Dogtra and got the paperwork to send with the collar to have a new handset made. This was in August of 2012. I followed up about four weeks later and they said that they hadn't received anything from me. Following up again a few weeks later, they claimed they still hadn't received anything and that the post office most likely lost my collar. Thinking it's lost, I ended up buying another Dogtra 2 collar set. Today, I get a call from them asking if I'd like a new battery in the collar I sent in for repair which will be $147... I explained to them that I had sent the collar in six months ago and they'd told me that they never received it. Because of that, I ended up spending $400 on a new collar set. All they said was that it must be the Post Office's fault. They had it scanned into their system last week. I've had things very rarely get lost in the mail, but never show up six months later. I would have thought that they'd send me the collar and new handset for free, or at least for a reduced price, but nothing was offered. Not even an apology In the end, I just had them send everything back to me. Scratch one more company off the list I do business with!

Had a dogtra with my last retriever, retired now. It was a great product, lasted 8 years, to the point I had to get a batt. made for it because the model 500 was discontinued. cust. service is everything though. I went with a tritronics with the new pup because of the price I got on e bay. Friends told me they had good cust. service, we'll see.
