I'm trying to find a Boykin Spaniel, which at my age may quite possibly be my "last" dog.

I'm on the Boykin Rescue list and have applied for 4 dogs but apparently have come up lacking, as they've gone to other applicants.

I'd prefer an adult female but will consider all options.

A dog that will retrieve would be great, but my hunting opportunities are somewhat limited, so a family pet is perfectly acceptable.

A candidate should be ok with other dogs and at least tolerant of cats; kids are not an issue as there are none of any age in the household.

Would appreciate any leads you may have, hopefully in reasonable driving distance from NE Florida (or ok with shipping by air).

Thanks for the help!

Good luck on this, Nitro. I have admired the Boykins since I first read about them.

Our family have owned and hunted with three
Boykins and they are super hunting and family dogs.
A younger dog or puppy may be best. But...
Check the dog breeders around Camden, S.C.
and the Boykin Spaniel Society there.

My daughter’s fiancé got a Boykin from a breeder in NC. Great dog. Retrieves ducks and geese. I will try to get the name.

The American Water Spaniel has the same disposition & are NOT a mix like the Boykin's.

We're on our 3rd AWS to date.

Keep'em in the X ring,
