My English pointer will be 12 in May. Yesterday he stayed in his barrel (plastic)/dog house. He did not want to get out and was not very responsive. When he did get out he would not walk on his front right leg. Just hobbled a bit on three.

Today he did get to his water a get a drink. I fixed his some sausage gravy and he would like it off my finger, at first. He did take a bit from his bowl.

It looks like he is a bit better today. At least he is not staying flat on his side, and is laying up right some.

it does not sound like a stroke. Just like a stoke in a person, you will see weakness on the left side.
Sounds like "Vestibular disease".
