I have a 5.5 year German Shepherd. He is super friendly with people (like a puppy loves everyone) and other dogs . Loves to go to the dog park. He is like the opposite of a German Shepherd - he is like a lab. But there are 2 old english sheepdog in my neighborhood. My dog hates them. He takes off straight for them including knocking down my fence gate. He has done this 3 times (over 3 years) and got disciplined well but I am still pretty sure he would go straight for them if he had an opportunity. I have locked and all my gates. Anyone have any thoughts or advice. Thanks, Mike

Sometimes dogs, like people, just don't like certain individuals. I have seen this myself and cannot tell you what causes it. If this persists I would use an e-collar to break him of the habit... but this requires that you are present and that he is wearing the e-collar. Otherwise, and electric fence might keep him inbounds.

We had a dog which, from the time he was a pup, absolutely hated rottweilers. Maybe an ancestral memory. Regards, Bill
