Rocky is the gentlest of dogs, but he's hell on birds! I don't know what he loves most, a nose full of pheasant-chuckar-quail-grouse, or his favorite boy, my grandson.

These two roosters are Owen's first ever pheasant. We had perfect weather and scenting conditions. Rock's radar nose took him 100 yards, straight to several birds, then he held point and let us catch up. Owen is learning to shoot that Savage 220 single shot 20ga! tu2

Rocky is always ready for a hug. Wink

Heartiest congratulations on a fine grandson and a great dog! The second image, in particular, would make a great Christmas card.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Biebs,
It doesn't get better than that. I think we all would remember those moments with young hunters as the best moments. May you have many more.
