Couple of reasons for Florida Near impossible to shoot long distance. My range is 300 yards max. There is one thousand range yard in 150 mile area. Set up at these long range is tough - weather - 4 wheel tearing up range - no backstop beyond a man made bearm. Most ar buyers in Florida are shooting indoors - the sad state of Florida shooting. I think Ruger precision rifle is interesting. I would buy one for for fun other than the fact my blaser success is more comfortable stock and the gun shoots just as well. I on the other hand cannot shoot tiny groups that my gun is capable of. I do like shooting steel at 110 and 300 yards. Mike

It's the reason for the setting-up of the 'Practical Rimfire Challenge' (PRC), sponsored by rimfire ammunition manufacturers: https://www.eleyammunition.com...fire-challenge-recap http://www.peacemakernational.com/prc And there are now rimfire variants of 'Precision Rifle Series' (PRS) rifles: https://www.ruger.com/products...nRimfire/models.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition” ― Rudyard Kipling

PD, the rimfire stuff is really taking off. One of the most interesting to me is the use of the big black powder cartridge single-shots fitted with with a .22 adaptor from Lee Shaver or Dave Crossno's shop, or a purpose built .22 on a Sharps, Ballard, Stevens, Winchester etc. http://www.22bpcra.com/ There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author
