I have been wanting to try some Berger VLD hunting bullets for my .300 Weatherby Magnum. My rifle has a 1 in 12 twist, Berger recommeds a 1 in 10 twist for optimum performance. Not sure which bullet weight to try, 168 Gr. or the 185's ? Will be using them for deer and possibly elk. Any suggestions would be appreciated. WLA

Touchdown, Berger recommends a 1 in 12 (or slower) for all weights other than the 210gr VLD. In the big case I'd go as heavy as I could; 190's for your 1:12. I shoot the 210's in a 300WM often.
