Watch these clueless fools! Pay special attention to the mirage. Magnify the image to get a better view of the mirage on the target.

I like the one guy's quote....., "Thar's so many heat waves it's gittin' hard to see it!"

HEY, NUMBNUTS! MIGHT THAT BE GIVING YOU A CLUE ON THE WIND DIRECTION AND SPEED?!!! Roll Eyes

Duh!!!!! homer

Clueless fools and numbnuts, WOW! pretty harsh words. Since you have elected to dub these fellows with such elegant titles, just how would you correct for drift of the bullets in this situation?? I have a couple thoughts on the matter, but would really like to hear your solution to the problem.

Mirage is an asset at times because if you let it do some work for you at several ranges, the issue of wind correction becomes easier to deal with. The ability to clearly resolve the target is normally enhanced by turning down the power ring on the observation class optics.

Hey, MFD! I thought you were a high power competition shooter. You can't read the mirage in that video? bewildered

But maybe I've just got a larger flat screen monitor than you have and can see it better.

I can call the shots before these fools fire.

Hey DaMan, since you were so critical of those fellows just thought you would want to share with all of us how to deal with such conditions.
There are other clues clearly shown in the video and one being the mirage. Do you have a clue?? Reluctantly would grant you one "attaboy" if you can tell us what they are. Can you estimate the wind speed from the video? The clue is there and if you know the range you can dial in the windage. When I say dial in, that is accomplished by using those round knobs on the scope/sight for windage and elevation. (Just a small clue to help you out a bit.) Look forward to seeing just how you would deal with the situation. Again, since you were so free with criticism about those fellows shooting thought you would share just how to correct their shooting.
