seafire/B17GHornady's new 53 grain V Max
Anyone tried this at long range yet?
this new bullet is supposed to have better BC than their 55 or 60 V Maxes...
was wondering about its abilities as a long range prairie dog puncher, and rock chuck chucker...when teamed up with a 28 inch barrel in a 22.250...

AnotherAZWriterMan, if there is any cailber that calls for shooting the heaviest available bullet weight, it is the .224. Why not shoot Hornady 75 AMAX or Sierra's 90 HPBT?

GhubertBC of .290 plays .265 for the 60gr and .25 for the 58gr.
Not much in it really, unless i've missed something?

sscoyoteI've been shooting a few out of my AR 223 AI. Out to 425 i got 1 4-shot group at ~3/4ths MOA. We were shooting rocks at 475 several days later on a slow coyote day, and i nailed the 1 i shot at almost dead center perfectly calcd. for reticle zero...wishing it was a coyote.
Killed 1 coyote with at @ 140, and it hit it hard with a heck of a meat report--3600 mv.
