Any special freebore on a 300 Norma to shoot 225 and 230 grain bullets?

Hello 505ED:

I use a slightly tapered throat (.310"-.309") that's .145" long, at which point a 1 1/2 lead angle starts. This geometry just allows contact with the lands when loading one of the newer lots of Berger 230gr OTMs to COAL of 3.550"/ 3.555".

This COAL locates the start of the boat tail at the neck/shoulder junction of the case. 86gr of Norma 217 gives 3085 in a 31" barrel.
