Tried out a new .338 AM out to 2650 yds in NM in October. Two ranging shots then shot a verified 5" tuft of grass. Perfect conditions and no wind up a canyon. Also took an antelope at 740 yd and a mulie up close at 110 yd. A keeper for mule deer, elk, and antelope.

Congrats on the antelope and mulie.

If ignorance is bliss; there are some blissful sonofaguns around here. We know who you are, so no reason to point yourselves out.

Sounds like a nice setup; any details? I don't think I can dial past about 2000. Then I'd have to hold, and even with the target in the bottom of the scope I think I'd be well short of 2650. Are you using a rangefinder or GE?

NM is a nice place to shoot long range. Plenty of open space that's public land. I'm pretty sure the picture at the top of this forum is NM.
