Decided to start upgrading my photo eqipment a couple months ago. Invested in LR5 earlier in the week. Here is a squirrel I saw out my bedroom window a little while ago. I grabbed the camera and put on the 70-200 f4. Hand-held, unedited raw converted to jpeg, @200mm first attempt, cropped and a little tweaking. a little too much hue, but what the hey. I think this is going to be fun. Best, GWB

Nikon has pulled the plug on Capture NX2, having announced that it is abandoning the software. No more updates for any new cameras, etc. I already use DxO as a RAW convertor, but I'm going to have to migrate eventually to another software for all the little tweaking and am seriously considering Lightroom since I only hear good things about it. Have fun. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

LightRoom is not too expensive, at least not as much as CS6, and works with the NIK plugins. By the way NIK created the NX2 software Nikon used. But Google purchased NIK Software about a year ago. However, Google offered the whole package of NIK plugins free to previous owners of any of the NIK plugins. But if you don't have any of the NIK plugins, you can buy the complete package fro $149.00. These plugins are simply amazing, and I use them with CS5 and CS6. Here is the link to NIK: http://www.google.com/nikcollection/
