I have a digital video in one hand and need a jpg photo of one of the frames.

Any basic help of how I get from one to the other?

Do you have the ability to transfer the video to your computer? A video editing program should be able to capture stills.

Edited to add: A video editing company or digital photography company may be able to pull stills from your tapes as well.

If you tell us what camera you have, someone may know if it has any frame capture ability as well.

Most DV cameras have firewire. If your Computer "sees" your camera (and you're running Window XP) You could use the Movie Maker Program (which comes with Windows XP) and use the frame capture button.

If you have photo-shop you can De-interlace the Capture and the pic will come out at about 640 x 480

Best of luck
