I'm thinking of buying a Canon A160 and/or a Panasonic DMC FZ30. Checking prices on the net, the lowest seem to usually be at Butterflyphoto.com or BuyDig.com. Anyone had any experiences with these sellers, or can recommend another? TIA

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

Thanks for your reply. In order to get more responses, I posted basically the same info in another forum (African Hunting) and based on their responses, and some further research, I'm going to order from Beach Camera.

B&H
Adorama
BuyDig.com

These three are reputable dealers. Also, if you buy from Amazon, they will probably order from Adorama.

I Have ordered stuff from B&H for several years now, and have never had a problem. Don't take the bait and go for "the best deal," because there are quite a lot of scams online.

This is what usually happens on one of those best deals: You will place the order online, and then you will receive either a phone call or an e-mail from somebody (dave, Joe, whoever) telling you to call an 800 number to verify your order. You do so, and they tell you that the camera does not come with a battery, or a memory card, or a battery charger, etc., and then they try to sell you those things you will need for your camera. By the time you get the camera the price has gone up from $200.00 to $400.00 more than Adorama, B&H, and BuyDig.

I tried one of those deals, and was lucky to realize what was going on before I verified the order. I immediately cancelled the order, and called my credit card company. If I would have completed the order, I would have had lost over $300.00. I worry a little about the credit card number I used to place the order the night before, and that's why I talked to my card company.
