I'm looking for a Trail Cam, want to use it in South African national parks. Not all camps are game fenced so it would nice to take images of lions, hyaenas etc next to the tent or bungalow. There are cameras which don't show any red light when the flash goes off - such a camera I would like to get. I believe some animals react negatively when noticing the red light. And obviously people seeing that light might take the expansive item along... What do you people think of my thoughts? Does anyone know the Trail Cams with the name of Ranger, distributed by Lynx South Africa?

Your right on the reactions of the different animals to the ir light. I use the bushnell trophy cams and have noticed the canine's react real quick to the light. Deer, Elk and moose aren't bothered. I'm going to get a couple more with the no glow infrared and set thenm out to see if I get the same responce. On the third link at 1:52 you can see the elk use smell not light to hone in on the camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIbz5Cz5Z1M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhBVnZVa7B0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bDRthmSQr0
