Waterproof case for Pocket Camera

Any suggestions for a waterproof carrying case for a pocket camera (Canon SX710). So far I think I have killed about 3 cameras by getting them wet while hunting. The last one fell out of my pocket while duck hunting and even though I snatched it right up it still got enough water in the nylon case to do it in. A zip-lock bag would be ok but I don't think it would be very durable. A waterproof camera would be great but I don't see any with more than a 4-5x zoom.

Unless the camera maker makes one specifically for that camera perhaps the best way is to get something from Pelican. They make lots of sizes and shapes and have an excellent reputation for quality cases that are waterproof and will also protect things from bumps ! You might also talk to one of the larger camera stores for suggestions.

Underwater housings are expensive, and very bulky.

Why don’t you look for a waterproof bag that sailors use for walkitalki?

I hadn't thought of a dry bag. Looks like there are all kinds available. Now all I have to do is find one that is small enough.
Thanks all.
