Are there any favorites out there? Something that would lend it's self to sharing photos with others.

I have been using Picasa. Anything better?

I've been using thumbsplus for many years but I've never used the e.mail/ftp part of it. My buddy likes ACD.

Macs all come with pretty good image viewing and sharing software. Do you want to do any photo editing and/or developing? If you've got a reasonably good DSLR it can be satisfying to edit and tweak your photos. Photoshop Elements is good enough for almost everything.

YEs, the MAc's have a good photo sharing service but you pay per year. I have it ans like it a lot. It is where I host my website (see below) and I used the iweb program to make both o the sites listed below. The Preview program in the Mac has replaced Photoshop for about 90% of what I need to do to pics. VEry intuitive and seamless workflow.
