I found many old slides from my younger days. 30 yr old parties, my first motorbike, my underwater slides from the Barrier Reef. ( geez I was a good looking bloke!!!! )
How can I transfer the slides to my computer?
Is it possible to somehow scan them?

Yes it is possible scan your negatives to your computer with the right scanner. A couple of years ago I had the same dillema. I looked around and got an Epson scanner capable of scanning negs and slides. Cost about $120 USD. What I found out while looking around was to find a scanner that doesn't have an external attachment to scan negs ans slides.

Cheers

You have two basic good choices. Buy a dedicated film scanner or have a commerical lab do it for you and then burn the scans onto dvd/cd. Film scanners are dropping in price due to the increase in digital camera's. A used Canon or Nikon scanner will set you back about $400-600

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Thanks guys for the info, I think I'll go the professional lab route onto DVD.
Next week most shops will re-open from the Christmas break.
