Looking for suggestions for a video camera. Sounds like it should be 4000k capable? Would like nice quality. Is this possible for around $1000.00?

4K cameras are a bit rare still.

We tried and used Sony's FDRAX1 and FDRAX100 on our hunt this year in the Selous.

Both worked great.

Not sure about prices, you might wish to check stores and Amazon.com.

The video quality on both was very good - in fact, it look fantastic even when converted down to 1080P.

The FDRAX1 is the larger version, and uses XQD cards - they very expensive, but required for the high bit rates.

The FDRXAX100 is smaller, and used SDXD cards.
