Would I have any trouble using my Canon 28/135 USM/IS (currently on my elan7e)on a Rebel XT? I know it will fit & function but it wasn't made for digital photography.

Should i sell my canon T90 to buy a RebelXT? God i do love my T90! What a solid camera & a real workhorse! Just can't deside! bewildered

Doug,

No problem whatsoever - the 28-135 lens is what I got in place of the kit lens when I bought my Rebel XT. Works like a dream.

Can't answer as to whether or not you should sell the T90 as I'm not familiar with it. I had an Olympus C730 before the XT, and the one thing I noticed and loved right away was the elimination of shutter lag. That said, I kept the Olympus for when I don't feel like carrying the bigger camera and lenses.

Best,
Jeff

If the lens has a FE, it should work fine.

Something I like about the XT is that with it set to the Sports mode, the camera automatically tracks the subject as it moves in your direction or away from you. All you have to do is to hold the shutter button pressed half way down. If you are not sure that this feature is working, you can turn the "Beep" ON, that way it will beep every time the camera focuses on the subject as it moves. This is very handy if you are taking pictures of race cars, horses, etc.
