What do you pay for the new Nikon D3

It cost a long time, but now the D3 arrived.
All the last years i refused to go digital, for there was no full size Nikon available - and Canon i didn't want.

What do you pay in the states for the new D3 body, here the price is 4850 € thats about 7200 USD.

A friend paid $5000 USD. I think they where hard to get right now.

Nikon D300?

Check at B&H Photo & Video, and Adorama. Be careful of the "real good deals" on the internet, because what sounds too good to be true usually is.

PS:

Now that the D3 has arrived, a camera is becoming more available and that is the D2x and D2Xs.

Both camera's have fallen dramatically.

On the other hand D1X bodies with firmware upgrades are selling for well under $1000.

Depends on your needs. Many of the above are traded in by people that always want the latest available.

D2x is about the best value in a Nikon in my view.
