Friend has numerous inherited quality Pentax Screw Type Lens with Pentax Film Camera.

I see screw type to bayonet coverters for sale for about $20. Seems to me that you should be able to use this lashup with Pentax digital bodies in Aperature Priority mode and manual focus.

Any body done this? What kind of results? Is this configuration easy to use?

NO No No !!! BAD Bad Bad!!!
Some of those old M42 lenses are RADIO ACTIVE, they have many poisonous chemicals in them!!!

If you find any esp. the deadly Takumar 55mm F1.4 ...
BEWARE
Just point that sucker at a Kitten or a Young Child and it wil DIE!

Why do you think they call 'em KILLER LENSES.

Just pack them up safely, lots of bubble wrap will stop the X-Rays getting out, then post them to ME for safe disposal.

Do NOT get on Amazon and buy a M42 to DSLR adapter!
( Nikon needs the one with a lens in it to get full infinity focus, there's 2 types for Cannon the Flanged one and the non flanged one but I'm not Cannon user so check that ... Pentax should be easy and get more functions as many of the best Lenses are Pentax Takumar )

Then going around buying 200mm F4 pin sharp lenses for a hundred bucks, all sounds like fun ... but when your head starts glowing green and your willy falls off you'll be sorry.

You have been warned!

PM me for any more safety instruction needed
