I am running a Dell Pentium 4 2mhz machine with a 60gig hard drive. I am using Adobe Premier software. I can burn either DVD or VCD with this machine. I am downloading .avi files with Microsofts video program. Does anyone have any suggestions for the settings to use to obtain the best quality pictures for viewing on a large TV? I am not concerned about the time to render or to burn, just the quality. At $4/disk for burnable DVDs, I'd settle for VCD is I can get quality that is as good as my TV will show. Right now I am experiencing what is termed "aliasing" or squared pixels around a moving object, like a skier, in an otherwise stable shot. It is the result of compression as I understand the problem. For my archival materials; however, I am willing to pay the full toll. In sum, if someone has them, I'd like both VCD and DVD info. Iam willing to share any info I develop. Thanks. Ku-dude

Ku-dude - Have you tried using the "File>Export Timeline>Save for Web" option, which brings up Cleaner 5 EZ for Premiere (this came with my Premiere 6.0)? Select the "wizard" and see if it's what you are looking for. I believe that you could also perform all of the same processes by manually selecting all of the compression choices, but the wizard might help. - Eric
