I have heard many stories of game cams being stolen when poachers see the flash or hear the shutter. I have come up witha n idea for a video cam system with a remote recorder.

Set up the cam at the location you want to monitor. The remote recorder can be VERY well hidden, even buried, up to 1000 feet away.My current hope is to sell the whole rig, less batteries (two motorcycle or lawn mower batteries, possibly dry cell rechargables similar to those used in cordless drills and such) for about $400.

The cam is color in the daytime, automatically switches to B&W Infrared at night. No flash to give away the location. Even if found and stolen, you still have video of the culprit. He can never find the recorder, and the cam can be replaced for under $100. Do you think it will go?
