Well I was playing around with my new Olympus E300 DSLR and decided to try to get a few gun pics. For anyone that cares you could pick these up last month with a 14-45 and 40-150 lens for under $500, quite a bargain in my opinion. I didn't use a tripod,and didn't set the aperture small enough so excuse the out of focus bits.

The Witness Elite Match I just bought last weekend, .40 S&W:

I've ordered 3 more mags mags from EAA (3 for $75 isn't so bad), so hopefully ready for an IDPA shoot in a couple of weeks.

Old Faithful, Browning High Power Competition, 9mm of course:

I'm going to have to break down and get some lights, anyone tried the newer fluorescent photo lights?

Browningguy,

Those pictures look pretty good to me!

How did you do the background ect?

You might want to take a look at the following two sites with regards lighting set ups;

http://strobist.blogspot.com/

http://www.diyphotography.net/

They mention fairly easy to make lighting boxes and also advice on types of lights for this sort of thing...

Regards,

Pete
