I'm convinced that I have a breeding population of mountain lions in this area. Mostly black, but some tan/gray. I've had several very reliable people see them on and around my ranch. These would be hundreds of miles from the nearest known breeding populations. Needless to say, they are not an everyday sighting. More like once or twice a year. I have not seen one personally and I'm out there almost all the time. I hope to get a photo of one with the night/movement/flash type cameras that people commonly use around deer feeders. I don't know anything about them. I'd like to use the cheapest decent ones that I can get. Any advice? xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? "In Dekalb?" Well, N of Dekalb near the river. No BS, it's a fact, but I've got to find a kill, some cat scat, or get a pic to prove it. Good friend who I let hunt on my place said, "Hell, that cat will kill lots of deer, we've got to kill him." My instant reply, "Not on my place if you ever want to come back. That cat is just another hunter as far as I'm concerned." xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. Thanks for the link, sort of, but the problem is, it has quite a few different types of cameras and I don't know a good one from a bad one. I need some specific recs if anyone has them. xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. Gatogordo--Plinker603 who posts on this forum--frequently on the air gun board has posted a lot of neat pictures and seems to know about the cameras.

CuddeBack, Leaf River, or Moultrie. The Moultrie digital sells for a lower price if you are interested in setting out several cameras and swapping out flash cards on a routine basis. Some of the folks on theQDMA siteare putting solar panels on them to get increased run time for the batteries. Check out the site for opinions on game cameras. I'm using a CuddeBack and get good pictures with it.
