Curious how many shoot 100% JPEG or 100% RAW? For the past year or so I switched over to shooting JPEG + RAW. With SD card storage no longer an issue, the additional 20+ meg RAW file does not pose a storage problem. I work with the JPEG file and keep the RAW file unadulterated for safe keeping. What are others doing? ___________________ Just Remember, We ALL Told You So.

Pretty much the same. With dual card cameras like the one I have, it is a simple thing. Larry "Peace is that brief glorious moment in history, when everybody stands around reloading" -- Thomas Jefferson

I only shoot RAW, but my cameras have an option to shoot both JPEG and RAW. As long as the memory card is large enough, you don't need more than one in the camera. I just don't waste my time with JPEG images.

I should have explained above why I don't take JPEG photos. I have a lot of control on the RAW images, since these are much like a negative. As such the processing apps in the computer are like a film photo lab. I use Adobe Camera RAW in CS5 or CS6. The camera does most of the processing of JPEG images, although I could set CS6 to tweak them, but it's never the same as a RAW image.

larrys that's what works for me. Ray, good points. I am not using Photoshop at this time. It's really a convenience thing more than anything else. Working with a JPEG image is quick and most of my pictures are for marketing purposes on the Interweb so I am not doing too much to them. Sooner or later I need to dive into Photoshop and see what I am missing. A lot I am sure... ___________________ Just Remember, We ALL Told You So.

I don't do uniquely one or the other. I'll be in Nairobi National Park tomorrow with a Nikon D810 and will shoot RAW only, although I shot shot RAW+JPG last time. I found I didn't use the jpegs and they just take up space. I almost always post-process anything I like anyway and I'm not a photojournalist who has to get them off to an editor within minutes. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.
