Had a 200-500 Nikon in my hands Sunday

Went to B&H Sunday, bought some PC stuff but I had to stop into the Nikon desk to look at the 70-200 F4. $1300+. The guy talked me into looking at the 200-500. He said , "it's the same price as the 70-200".

Man it's a Bazooka. At least it comes with the tripod collar :-).

Didn't buy either.

A cannon 200-400mm with built-in extender is the lens I would like to buy, but after looking at the price I just have to dream about it:
