I have always wanted to shoot birds but never much luck. The other day I put up a dead branch for a tree, set up a studio light on the porch and shot from the dining room window. Got a Dark-eyed Oregon Junko and a Scrub Jay.

Nice shots. I usually cheat a little by putting a bit of bird feed close to the window.
