Collecting Leica is a disease

I have a Japanese friend who is exactly into that.

I recall accompanying one of his friends buying a 1949 Leica unopened and used from Sotheby and we went to a local hospital to scan it rather than opening the box to examine it authenticity !

Do you know the nationality of the buyer ?
