I have a Nikon D7000 SLR and a AF-S Nikkor 70-300 1:4.5-5.6 G lens. Will a 2x multiplier allow me to double the zoom and still use the auto features of the lens? Is the Nikon AF-S Teleconverter TC-20E III the best way to go? Would want to use this for travel, African safari and general use.

Check on the Nikon website about which lenses can be used with a 2x multiplier.

Not all lenses can be used with it.

From your lense spec, I would imagine that it might not be compatible.

Saeed,
Thank you. I did not see the table on the Nikon site when I originally checked but, I am afraid you are correct. According to their table there are no Teleconverters that will work.
