Snared these two near a bait station I keep up all winter. Black young female, and a mature male. Unfortunately i missed another 3 or 4 more with poor snare placement as I had that many knocked down. Doug It looks like pretty good snare placement to me!! We have high winds and drifting snow all winter here so snares need to be adjusted from time to time,,even though I don't like to make tracks! We got 1 the other day on a snare that was totally exposed on a bear trail,he had carefully avoided all somewhat concealed snares. Jim I tend to use more than enough gun | |||

Jim, thats interesting as i had the same last year when the last wolf of the season hit a wide open snare. That male from yesterday hit one that was pretty much in the open as well.
