This is my first year for working ADC. I have been called back to do a job for these people I worked for in June. In one week in June I was able to get 1 rat, 4 chipmunks, and 4 for the target woodchucks. I got called in almost a week ago to get the remaining woodchucks. But I have not caught the damn thing yet! I have 1 rat and 1 chipmunk. What would be the best lure for these guys? Apple? if so what kind? Lettuce cabbage march mellows? How about something off the trappers shelf? At the local trappers supply? Thanks for any help. James Disabled Vet(non-combat) - US Army NRA LIFE MEMBER Hunter, trapper, machinest, gamer, angler, and all around do it your selfer. I don't use baited traps much for woodchucks. I find the den hole and set a #160 body gripper down in it, then put a section of 1/4" mesh screen over everything to keep unwanted animals out. I've been doing wildlife pest control for 18 yrs. now and haven't found anything as effective as this for groundhogs. | |||

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind! The bad part about this job is I dont have enough 120's for the job. Talked with the warden and he'd rather I not use the 160's on the ground. Besdies the 160's are little large for these guys. Maybe Maine dosnt get huge "groundhogs" Disabled Vet(non-combat) - US Army NRA LIFE MEMBER Hunter, trapper, machinest, gamer, angler, and all around do it your selfer.
