I m rather new to ADC work and I am looking for some handcock traps. There is alot of beaver relocating in my state (Maine) and may end up with a job soon. I have had people already asking me to come take a look and asking for prices. So if you have some handcock traps and looking to get rid of them. Please let me know. PM me post here or Email me sharpscarbine@gmail.com Also if you have advice and other traps hit me up. Thanks! Here ya' go, Hancock Beaver Cage Trap Personally I'd use snares, which when modified and used properly are very effective in beaver live capture. Using Snares to Live-Capture Beaver Use of snares to live-capture beavers And they're a Hell of a lot cheaper, with the Hancock at $360 each vs snares at about $3 each. You can also capture beaver in a cage type trap made for beaver, I've made them and used them successfully. Cost me about $12 each to make. | |||

The only issue is the law around here when trying to live trap with snares. Besides if I ever want the biologist to call me for a job again I d be wise not to use those. That is some good advice though. I may try it in normal trapping season then show them how it worked if its legal. Cage traps and handcock traps are the only legal methods of live trap I know of. The hard part of getting started in ADC work is acquiring all the traps. Sorry about not getting back sooner, I am not getting my messages in the email letting me know I have new reply's. As for Kamo Gari, there is good money in relocating beaver out my way! But only if the IF&W guys trust you.
